Hello, my name is Emily and welcome to my healthy lifestyle blog, To Love and Live.
I am a 26 year old personal trainer and health coach living in Birmingham, Alabama. I am married to my best friend, Matt, since November 4, 2017.
He is my rock and I couldn’t do life without him.
I have always had a passion for health and fitness, but not without some road blocks along the way. In Junior High and beginning of High School, I was dealing with body image issues so bad I ended up having an eating disorder. Throughout recovery and the rest of high school, I enjoyed playing tennis and got back to eating foods I loved.
In college, I picked up running and started taking spin classes. I absolutely LOVED it, and I started running half marathons. But I started to get into calorie counting (nothing above 1200) and working out at least 2 times a day and it got me to a bad place.
Fast forward to now, and I still struggle with body image and food issues, but I am working on finding a balance. I don’t run everyday like I used to, but I also enjoy other fitness and activity like tennis, hiking, biking, yoga, strength training, etc. I enjoy doing all these things with Matt, too.
To me, at this point, fitness is all about finding what you love. I love a lot of things so I will incorporate them all; and if I can do these things with Matt, then that’s even better.
Along with health, fitness, and nutrition, my blog will provide you with DIYs, How-To’s, product reviews, and all the fun things in life.
Through this blog, I hope to help you with your own health and fitness journey, and together, work on finding that happy and healthy balance in life where you can live and love where you are in life.
